Bitter Enders

by

Daniel O'Flaherty

Read by awl on Monday 21st May 2007

During the build up to the Iraq war, a disparate band travel to Baghdad on a double decker bus, their intention to act as human shields. Led by the driven ex US marine Dennis O'Doyle, the crew discover that even on a mission of peace, tensions and hostilities inevitably arise. During the course of the journey, they are forced to re-evaluate themselves. This play is intended to be a thought-provoking satire on human folly and an investigation into the nature of conflict.
