Besides being a writer, Jacqui Dickson is also a director and poet.

She studied at Ruskin College, Oxford and received the Ruskin Diploma in Women's Studies.  Whilst there, Jacqui organized and coordinated the first ‘International Women's Day’ at Ruskin College since 1972. She then studied at Middlesex University and graduated in 1997 with a BA Hons in Creative Writing.

Jacqui was the co-founder Artistic Director for the Platform Theatre Group, Dublin.

She is currently writing a stage play called Farewell to Silence about the political struggle in Ireland.
