Goddess Or a Pile of Old Scrap a 30-minute radio play by John Petherbridge Read by awl on Monday 15th November 2004 The story of an ageing French car, the legendary Citroen DS 19, which falls in love with a young Englishman. When Peter buys the car from Gordon, it's pretty much a decaying wreck parked up in a suburban street. Peter spends all his spare time repairing and refurbishing the car, much to his live-in girlfriend's chagrin. However, when Peter out driving sees and falls in love with Chrissy, a bicycle-riding environmentalist, the car is more than a little upset.
