Peter Sutton trained as an actor in 1996-7 at Birmingham Theatre School, where he was named Best Actor on the course.  He is particularly skilled in languages, having worked for more than a decade as a freelance translator for Council of Europe, OECD, UNESCO & other organisations and previously for seven years as Head of Publications, UNESCO Institute for Education, Hamburg, Germany

Peter served as the AWL Secretary from October 2005 to May 2006
