Bimbo

BIMBO is a satire on sex in high places. The play's hero, THE PRESIDENT, is a dedicated womaniser, but whereas most politicians tell lies about their sex lives, he decides to tell the absolute truth. Will his disclosures help his political career - or shatter it?

THE PRESIDENT of Old Zealand, a predominantly white Western democracy. A very dominant and attractive man - a kind of cross between Bill Clinton and John F Kennedy. A serious womaniser.
Peter Mair
THE PRESIDENT'S WIFE - the same age as him, say middle forties. She's attractive enough to have become his wife, though now weary of his sexual antics. She's developed an agenda of her own. Smart, intelligent and well-dressed.
Carolyn Pertwee
THE PRESIDENT'S ADVISOR. A downtrodden man. Much of his life has been spent pandering to the whims of those more powerful than himself. Fifties. He is hardworking and conscientious, but rather seedy.
Hayward Morse
BIMBOES. Can be reduced to four for a small production. These are cuties who double as drum majorettes, a girl band, a chorus line etc. All four have small speaking parts.
Annie Overton, Melissa Docker, Victoria Kempton

Michael Baldwin
